Qualyst, Inc.

Qualyst was founded in 2001 on breakthrough discoveries from research by three professors in the School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For many years, Qualyst’s founders have pursued basic research to understand the fundamental principles behind absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) processes at the cellular and molecular level, and to relate these processes to drug toxicity (ADMET). ADMET challenges have been and continue to be a major cause of compound attrition during the development process, resulting in the loss of millions in investment dollars and valuable research time.
