R2 Resource Consultants

R2 Resource Consultants (R2) is an environmental and engineering consulting firm specializing in fisheries biology; aquatic, wetland, and riparian ecology; fisheries engineering; hydrology; hydraulic engineering; water quality monitoring and modeling; and watershed analysis. Our offices are located in Redmond, Washington and we have worked throughout North America, with projects in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana, Alaska, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, Connecticut, and Canada. R2 provides technical support in the relicensing or licensing of hydroelectric projects, water rights, development of habitat conservation plans (HCPs), Natural Resource Damage Assessments (NRDA), Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Environmental Site Assessments. Our clients have included utilities, mining companies, timber companies, water agencies, municipalities, federal and state government agencies, and tribes. As environmental consultants, our job is to help clients find effective, cost-efficient solutions to natural resource problems. The process of finding these solutions begins by clearly defining both the resource issues and the regulatory constraints related to them. Finding effective solutions also requires the integration of environmental concerns and ecological processes with sound engineering principles and analyses. A final and important element is to incorporate the management goals and direction provided by the clients we serve. These principles serve to focus the technical direction of R2 as we work to meet the needs of our clients.
