Rad Source Technologies, Inc. develops and produces non-radioactive source irradiation equipment. We strive to expand the use of safe irradiation products by extending the abilities of non-isotope based technology as a way of replacing existing radioactive isotope equipment and making new applications practical.
Irradiation itself, whether from radioisotopes or non-radioactive sources such as x-rays and electron beams are used for various medical and industrial applications. Some of these applications include cancer therapy, blood irradiation for the prevention of GVHD from human blood transfusions, laboratory research, medical product sterilization, improving polymer wear characteristics, and various food applications such as fruit disinfestation and meat irradiation to mitigate harmful organisms.
