B Hawkins & Associates was established in 1980 to provide scientific and engineering support for the insurance and legal professions. In 2000 the founders, Dr Roy Hawkins & Dr John Miller, retired as Directors and control of the company passed to the existing management team. The company became Hawkins & Associates Ltd.

We are an independent company who from the beginning have been involved in the investigation of fires, accidents and engineering problems. Our clients include the major insurance companies and loss adjusters in the UK, and many legal practices. Increasingly, large companies faced with problems which have potentially serious financial implications are instructing us directly. In providing all of its services, Hawkins & Associates aims to uphold the following principles:

Early written appraisals - usually within 72 hours;
Clear, succinct final reporting;
Thorough investigation in detail when appropriate;
Frequent communication with the client;
Impartiality;
Independence;
Breadth of expertise.
The company started in Cambridge, where the head office remains, and also has offices in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmigham and Leeds. Whilst much of the company's work is carried out in the UK, we also deal with major incidents throughout the world.
