Research Institute of Petroleum Processing

Research Institute of Petroleum Processing (RIPP), founded in 1956, is a wholly owned affiliate and the largest comprehensive research organization of China Petrochemical Corp. (SINOPEC). It is mainly devoted to the research and development of up-to-date petroleum refining and petrochemical technologies while laying stress on applied basic research as well. It has the solid R & D capability and advantages in the fields from crude oil evaluation, refining technologies and related catalysts for developing and evaluating a series of petroleum products.With a broad spectrum of R&D activities, RIPP takes the responsibility from the crude oil evaluation, laying out processing schemes, process automation and computer application, providing advanced technologies and related catalysts up to the effluents of environmentally friendly petroleum products, Refineries share significant benefits from RIPP's technological achievements, consultants and technical services.
