Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery - the D.C. metropolitan area's first laser surgery center dedicated solely to the laser treatment of dermatologic conditions - was founded by Dr. Tina Alster in 1990. Thousands of patients have been treated successfully at the Institute using the latest in laser technology.Unsightly birthmarks, scars, and signs of aging affect how people feel about themselves, and how others feel about them. While long considered irreversible, these conditions can now be treated with laser treatments that are safe and effective when performed by skilled dermasurgeons. Specialized laser techniques developed and further perfected by Dr. Alster have been featured in numerous medical and other publications. She and the other professionals at the Institute are highly committed to realizing the outward and inward changes that dermatologic laser surgery can produce.
