Our professional staff is highly qualified and renders advisory services in all legal areas related to Intellectual Property Rights, covering Trademarks, Designs, Legal Affairs and Patents, ranging from the fields of chemistry, biotechnology and medicine, to mechanics, physics, petroleum technology, electronics and telecommunications. Patentbureau Tandberg was founded in 1893 by the engineer N. G. Tandberg. Earlier, in 1885, engineer Axel Lahn had established the company International Patent-Bureau.In 1933 these two companies merged to form Tandbergs Patentkontor & International Patent-Bureau. The firm became a Limited Company in 1970 and was renamed Tandbergs Patentkontor AS. At this time we also moved into our own building. From a modest beginning, the firm has grown steadily and is today, by Scandinavian standards, a good-sized establishment with approximately 40 employees. The lawyers and professional technical staff possess a wealth of experience from a wide variety of industrial and scientific fields, as well as within all aspects of Intellectual Property Rights.
