Telelab

Telelab is a private medical microbiology laboratory which was founded in 1985 by professor, dr.med. Bjørn-Erik Kristiansen, civil engineer Norman Hagen and cand.scient Birger Sørensen; all of them at that time working at the University Hospital of Tromsø, Norway. By an agreement with The County of Telemark, Norway, asTelelab was appointed the Telemark County Medical Microbiology Laboratory. The agreement lasted until 1995 when a new agreement was politically accepted. asTelelab receives all microbiology specimens from the 5 hospitals and 250 local physicians working in Telemark. In addition, asTelelab receives specimens from physicians, dentists and hospitals outside Telemark.
