The Texas Healthcare & Bioscience Institute is composed of biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies, universities and private research institutions, and companies that provide goods and services to core organizations.
The goal of THBI is to develop solid information about the medical research and manufacturing community in Texas, and to make that information available to political leaders, the news media, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and the public.
The intent is to demonstrate that medical research and manufacturing is a major contributor to Texas' state and local economies - with unusually great potential for financial growth and job creation. In fact, more than 475 companies of varying sizes have already been identified within the Texas health care technology community.
