Trophos is a biopharmaceutical company committed to the discovery and development of novel therapeutic compounds to treat neurodegenerative diseases.Trophos has a fully integrated pre-clinical and clinical capability. Our discovery strategy is based on screening chemical collections of small molecules on models of sick neurons, using the class of neurons affected in each type of disease. Since compounds that block neuronal death or improve neuronal survival are selected in a pathophysiological context, they have a higher chance of showing activity in animal models of disease and subsequently in clinical studies.
