Founded in 1984, the UCIMA Association represents the Italian Manufacturers of Packing and Packaging Machinery.UCIMA groups 90 companies which represent 65% of the overall Italian production and 85% of the Italian exports. Italy is one of the world's main producers of machinery and systems for the packaging of a variety of goods serving the food, confectionery, tobacco, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, cosmetics and paper industriesUCIMA operates in Italy and abroad, providing member companies with a range of services in the areas of marketing and promotion, economic matters, technical consultancy and standards, publishing and communications. In addition, UCIMA handles the organisational aspects of Italian participation at foreign trade fairs with the PUNTO ITALIA trademark.
