Vaccinex, Inc. is a biotechnology company engaged in the discovery and development of human antibodies into novel therapeutic drugs to treat a variety of diseases. Our proprietary ACTIVMAB antibody discovery technology allows for the direct selection of high affinity, fully human monoclonal antibodies that would be difficult or impossible to identify using other systems. Unique to this technology is the capability to recover fully functional human antibodies from libraries expressed in mammalian cells.
Vaccinex is commercializing the ACTIVMAB technology by discovering antibodies for the development of our own in-house pipeline of therapeutic antibodies, for antibody co-development partners, and for client companies needing fee-based research services. This strategy allows Vaccinex to generate near-term collaboration revenues to offset operating costs, while building long-term value through the development of a broad pipeline of therapeutic antibody products. The company’s current antibody drug development efforts are focused on cancer, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Vaccinex’s most advanced product candidate is C35, a proprietary antibody for the treatment of breast cancer.
