The Vani Group of companies was founded in 1977. Its first plant is located in Phase I of Jeedimetla Industrial Area, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, a major bulk drug production centre in India.
Commencing with the manufacture of basic analgesic drug of Analgin and its intermediates, the group has substantially expanded and diversified into a variety of Agro, Industrial, Pharmaceutical Intermediates, fine & speciality chemicals.

Vani Chemicals & Intermediates limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on June 15, 1976 by Mr. S. Kutumba Rao and Mr. M.V. Subba Rao.
Managing Director Mr. Kutumba Rao is a Postgraduate in Chemical Technology. Before promoting Vani Chemicals in 1976, he worked as Deputy Director of Industries with Andhra Pradesh Industries Department. Executive Director Mr. M.V. Subba Rao is a postgraduate in Mathematics from the Regional Engineering college, Warangal, with more than 27 years of experience in the Chemical Industry, he is presently looking after the day to day operations of the Company. The Executive Director is assisted by Mr. Ranga Rao, Director of Operations, and by departmental heads, who are well qualified and experienced. Mr. M. Ranga Rao is a postgraduate in Chemistry, with more than 26 years of experience in the Chemical Industry.
