Cardiovascular Health: Attacking Atherosclerosis through Anti-Inflammation
VBL's lead cardiovascular drug candidate, CI-201, has been developed as a solution to the overwhelming need for an anti-inflammatory anti-atherosclerosis treatment. In preclinical trials CI-201 has been shown to significantly reduce disease progression by modulating inflammation associated with atherosclerosis. Furthermore, the use of CI-201 in combination therapy with existing lipid-lowering drugs should allow patients to benefit from multiple routes of treatment.
VBL is investigating the application of CI-201 in other inflammatory based diseases such as Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple Sclerosis.
