Ventana Clinical Research Corporation

Ventana was founded in 1997 by Dr. Edward Sellers, Dr. Myroslava Romach, Dr. Neil Shear and Gail Somer after having established international reputations with more than thirty years of quality, innovative research and consulting at the University of Toronto, University Health Network, the Addiction Research Foundation and Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. Starting as a small independent research group with inpatient beds for early-phase clinical drug trials within the hospital setting, the company soon expanded in 2001 to a stand-alone facility with a 16-bed capacity and approximately 50 staff members.

The company has consistently shown growth in both revenue and resources and was recently listed as one of Canada's Fastest-Growing Companies by Profit Magazine.

Due to the tremendous success of the company, the company again expanded in 2004 to a custom-designed, dedicated clinical research facility with an inpatient capacity of 64 beds.
