Viventia Biotech IncViventia Biotech Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company advancing a new generation of monoclonal antibody therapeutics designed to offer safer, more beneficial therapies for cancer patients. Viventia’s lead product candidate Proxinium™ continues on an aggressive clinical development schedule. Viventia has initiated a Phase II North American clinical trial and concurrently commenced a pivotal Phase II/III global study with Proxinium™ for the treatment of head and neck cancer. Viventia's second product candidate, Vicinium™ for the treatment of bladder cancer, is in an ongoing Phase I/II clinical trial. In addition, Viventia has several other product candidates in pre-clinical development.
Our platform of technologies is based upon the isolation of human monoclonal antibodies obtained from cancer patients, and the development of those antibodies as Armed Antibodies™ to deliver cytotoxic (cancer killing) ‘‘payloads’’ to cancer cells. We believe that this approach has the potential to be safer and more beneficial than existing cancer drugs.
Viventia is building fully integrated capabilities spanning all phases of the drug development cycle, from drug discovery, screening and pre-clinical development through to clinical trials, production and commercial manufacturing.
