Xtent XTENT, Inc. develops customizable drug-eluting stent (DES) systems for the treatment of coronary artery disease. XTENT's customizable DES systems are designed to enable the treatment of single lesions, long lesions and multiple lesions of varying lengths and diameters, in one or more arteries with a single device.
Founded in 2001, XTENT was incubated by The Foundry (Redwood City, CA) and incorporated in June 2002. XTENT has numerous US and international patents and patent applications covering a variety of delivery systems, stents, and coatings. The company currently has multiple studies underway to evaluate its Custom NX™ DES platform.
