Zelos Therapeutics Inc.

Zelos Therapeutics is an emerging private biopharmaceutical development company that is commercializing breakthrough discoveries in parathyroid hormone (PTH) research. The company is developing medications for the treatment of osteoporosis, psoriasis and for enhancing engraftment following stem cell transplantation. During 2005, Zelos Therapeutics experienced a number of significant milestones. Key programs at Zelos moved quickly ahead to their next developmental stage during the year. The lead program, injectable Ostabolin-C™ for the treatment of osteoporosis, completed a series of three Phase I trials in Canada in 2004-05 and began Phase II testing at hospital and clinic sites in Canada and the USA. The second program, Ostabolin-C™ gel for topical treatment of psoriasis, began Phase I safety testing in humans this year at sites in the USA. In addition, an inhalation powder version of Ostabolin-C™ for osteoporosis is being tested in animals, in preparation for human safety testing next year. Scientific efforts in a fourth program have recently yielded exciting results in an animal cancer model, and this fourth program will also move into the clinic for human testing next year.
