MicroHelix

Microhelix began in 1991 as a grant and private equity funded research company, formed to develop cutting edge manufacturing techniques for medical device interconnect systems. We began manufacturing operations in 1998, designing and building cable assemblies and micro-electric interconnects for use in the medical device, commercial and defense industries. In April 1999, we acquired Key-Tech, a Portland-based custom cable assembly designer and manufacturer. Clients included medical and defense OEMs. In December 1999, we acquired the assets of the medical ultrasound division of Alcatel NA Cable Systems, Inc., which designs and manufactures cable assemblies for use in non-invasive ultrasound probes and systems. Alcatel started this business in 1995 to promote the sale of its cable to U.S. headquartered ultrasound OEMs. In connection with this acquisition, we acquired facilities and employees in Tucson, Arizona and Nogales, Mexico. OEM clients include several multinational medical ultrasound device manufacturers. In April 2004, we completed the sale of our Portland-based Wire & Cable Division to Advanced Neuromodulation Systems (Dallas, Texas) and have invested the proceeds from the sale to support and expand our medical ultrasound business. In April 2005 Microhelix acquired Moore Electronics , a Tualatin, OR based company and leading supplier of custom and complex cable assemblies to both medical and commercial OEM customers. Moore Electronics has an enviable reputation of consistant quality, exeptional customer service, engineering excellence and has been recognized and rewarded many times by their customers. Microhelix, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: MHLX.OB) completed its Initial Public Offering in November 2001. Our common stock and Class B warrants are traded on the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbols "MHLX.OB" and "MHLXZ," respectively.
