QLT Inc. is a global biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development and commercialization of innovative therapies. Our research and development efforts are focused on pharmaceutical products in the fields of ophthalmology and dermatology. In addition, we utilize two unique technology platforms, photodynamic therapy and Atrigel®, to create products such as Visudyne® and Eligard®. ESTABLISHED Formed in 1981. Became a public company in 1986. FOUNDERS Founded by a group of University of British Columbia professors, including Dr. Julia Levy who served as the Company's President and CEO from 1995 to 2002. EMPLOYEES About 240 professionals located in Vancouver, BC or Fort Collins, CO in the fields of science, research, technology and business.
