DIANON Systems, Inc. provides a full line of anatomic pathology testing services and a number of genetic and clinical chemistry testing services to patients, physicians, and managed care organizations throughout the United States. The Company has traditionally been a specialized laboratory with a limited line of clinical chemistry and anatomic pathology testing services based principally on new technology purchased or licensed from test developers. This technology has been marketed directly to medical oncologists and urologists as testing and information services rather than as products or test kits.
