Gendel Limited

Gendel is an innovative life sciences company formed in December 1998 to develop a drug delivery technology based on red cell sensitisation followed by the application of ultrasound. The company has made outstanding progress in the advancement of this platform technology.

Exploiting the novel concepts and technology conceived by Professor Tony McHale at the University of Ulster, the Gendel localised drug delivery system uses "loaded" and "sensitised" red blood cells to transport drugs around the body. These drugs can then be released at localised sites by the application of non-invasive low intensity ultrasound.
