Our strategy allows for continuous project portfolio expansion and diversification. We believe this reduces risk for shareholders. Currently, we are developing products in three therapeutic areas:
Alzheimer's Disease: Immune Network Research Ltd. has acquired rights to a patent for the use of a group of compounds, based on an existing drug approved for another disease, in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. The company anticipates that the next milestone for this project will be Phase II clinical trials.
Asthma: Immune Network Research Ltd., along with its joint venture partner Bridge Pharma, is carrying out research on a group of novel, non-steroidal, disease modifying agents for the treatment of asthma. The next milestone for this project will be the completion of laboratory studies on this group of compounds and selection of a clinical candidate
AIDS: Immune Network Research Ltd. has recently reacquired a 100% in this project involving a monoclonal antibody (1F7) which may represent a unique advancement in the treatment of AIDS. The company's former joint venture partner, ImmPheron, has completed pre-clinical research on the 1F7 antibody. This novel approach for treating HIV infection is aimed at resetting the body's immune system to continue to fight the AIDS virus even as it mutates. Immune Network is currently preparing a regulatory package for clinical trial approval.
