INTRACEL Corporation is a biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing cancer vaccines and immunotherapeutic products for cancer and infectious diseases. The company has built a large portfolio of product candidates. Most advanced of which, OncoVAX® , is a vaccine for Stage II colon cancer patients and is currently being marketed and provided on a commercial basis in the Netherlands. Late-Stage product candidates include: KLH (Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin) for advanced bladder cancer and OncoVAX® for Stage III colon cancer patients, which are both in Phase III development. INTRACEL has a number of fully human monoclonal antibodies in earlier stages of development to treat respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), major hospital infections and autoimmune disorders. The antibodies have emerged from a powerful discovery platform base that combines phage display technology with one of the world’s largest repositories of human antibody responses.
The company plans to commercialize these products through direct investments and corporate partnerships. As part of its business strategy, INTRACEL operates a revenue generating research reagent business.
