With our unique reagent systems, Alpha-Tec Systems is focused on improving the fields of mycobacteriology and parasitology. Our mycobacteriology system has dramatically improved the ability of laboratories to recover accurate positive AFB specimens and reduced the occurrence of contaminated / reprocessed samples by rigidly controlling pH throughout the specimen preparation process. Our parasitology system has replaced toxic mercury-containing fixatives with an environmentally safe alternative that provides for improved morphology, significantly increased parasite recovery, and compatibility with EIA technologies.
