Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. has grown through internal development of superior filtration products as well as through acquisitions of leading companies in the field. It is headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts, has offices throughout the world, and manufacturing plants in Wilmington, Massachusetts and San Diego, California. Among the acquisitions of Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. were ROMICON, Inc. in 1991 and FLUID SYSTEMS Corporation in 1998, both of which had closely related products and technology. ROMICON manufactured hollow fiber membranes and membrane systems. FLUID SYSTEMS was one of the pioneers of commercial reverse osmosis and nanofiltration membrane products. Today, FLUID SYSTEMS is fully integrated into Koch Membrane Systems and is one of the leading providers of these products for desalting both brackish water and sea water for drinking purposes, as well as for many industrial applications such as in the food, dairy and beverage markets.
