ALTANA INC. is comprised of three divisions. E. Fougera & Company is a generic drug division which produces mainly topical ointments and creams. It is one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of such generic drugs in the United States. Fougera has been in business for more than 150 years. Savage Laboratories is a branded drug division which produces products primarily for the OB-GYN and critical care markets. Pharmaderm is the veterinary division which produces a variety of products for animal care.
