AbTECH

AbTECH was established in September 1997 as a biotechnology company to focus on the use of growth factors in cancer diagnostic and therapy. It was incorporated in Paris as a regular registered company, "Société Anonyme". A first round of financing of $ 1.2 million has just been completed.

AbTECH objectives are threefold:



a. Conduct collaboration programs with academic labs:



- control respect of schedule and costs up to the anti-idiotypic mAb production,

- identify the most interesting external technologies to be used and the most qualified external teams to contract with in order to accelerate the program completion,

- negotiate subcontracting agreements with each team,

- coordinate the various teams,

- reassess and reorient team tasks, as necessary



b. Conduct in- and out-licensing negotiations on present and next proprietary technology.



c. Raise the necessary funding for preclinical development:



- setting up financial arrangement for development (Private Placement, Venture Capital, Public grants, pharmaceutical lab collaboration)

- setting up possible joint-ventures with industrial partners,

- managing the intellectual property portfolio.
