Nanogen integrate advanced microelectronics and molecular biology into a platform technology with potential commercial applications in the biological fields of biomedical research, diagnostics, drug discovery, forensics, agriculture, and environmental testing. The Company's technology may also have applications in the electronics and telecommunications industries. Nanogen are developing an automated system which incorporates a proprietary semiconductor microchip and may provide a flexible tool for the rapid identification and analysis of test samples containing charged molecules.
