QUATRx Pharmaceuticals
Download PDF Members: QUATRx is building a portfolio of novel drug opportunities in a variety of therapeutic areas through in-licensing. Through the application of novel strategies, we plan to develop these rapidly, usually through to the end of Phase 2. This will add substantial value to the compounds prior to out-licensing to the final marketing partners, enabling QUATRx and its investors to realize highly attractive rates of return on the development investment and providing physicians access to innovative new therapies to treat diseases inadequately addressed by existing therapies. The initial focus of the company is drugs selectively targeting nuclear receptors. Nuclear receptors are proteins in the cell nucleus that act as receivers for a number of key hormones and govern a wide range of essential metabolic and developmental processes in the body. Through the understanding of nuclear receptors in drug design, new tissue selective drugs with enhanced benefits and fewer side effects can be developed, providing exciting opportunities for QUATRx.
