BPI’s International Impact Honored by PRECARN
Waterloo, ON, Jun 1, 2007: Biomedical Photometrics Inc. (BPI), the
leading panoramic laser scanning confocal imaging systems manufacturer for drug
discovery, pathology and genomics research, announced today that the company has
been named by PRECARN Incorporated as recipient of the 2007 Anthony T. Eyton
Award for International Impact. The Award was given to BPI based on
commercialization and international sales of innovative fluorescence imaging
systems that resulted from the PRECARN Biochips project. Participants in the
Biochips project included BPI (Project Manager), ATS Automation Tooling Systems
Inc., National Research Council of Canada, Robarts Research Institute, and the
University of Waterloo.
The Award was presented to BPI this week at the PRECARN Members Banquet in
Montreal, Canada. “We are very pleased to receive the 2007 Anthony T. Eyton
Award for International Impact” said BPI’s CEO, A.E. (Ted) Dixon. “This award
validates BPI’s capabilities in developing and commercializing a technology
platform and successfully selling the resulting product into global markets.”
