Bionest appoints Daniel Teper to head US operations
Advisory and management
services provider to life science industry now offers European and US
perspective in one-stop shop
New York, February 21, 2006 -
Bionest Partners, a provider of advisory and management services to life
science companies, announces today that Dr Daniel Teper has joined the company
as Managing Director North America with effect from January 16, 2006.
Based in New York city, Teper, 46, brings over 20 years of experience as a corporate executive, a management consultant and an entrepreneur. Prior to joining Bionest Partners, he was Chief Global Officer of GSW Worldwide/inChord, the largest independent healthcare communications group. From 2001-2003, Teper was Vice-President in the New York office of ISO Healthcare Consulting, now part of Monitor Group. He led major corporate strategy and portfolio management assignments for leading pharmaceutical companies and created novel offerings in Strategic Marketing and R&D Management.

Teper will be moderating a session
on the launch of human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines with speakers from the
National Institutes of Health, UNICEF, GSK and Merck at BIO 2006 in Chicago
next April. Bionest will also host a top management forum for its clients and
has a booth (2157) at the show.
Early in his career, Teper was Project Manager for the Global Product Portfolio Review at Novartis in Basel, working closely with McKinsey & Company and the senior R&D and commercial leadership of the company. Teper's operational experience includes sales, marketing, new product management with Novartis in the US, as well as and general management positions with GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi-Aventis in Europe. He also led global operations for several healthcare communication groups with responsibility for multi-country P&Ls, Merger & Acquisitions, global client relationships and oversight of major global brands. He is the founder of 21 West, a New York based Executive Producer of Medical and Health programs for television and broadband Internet and was recently elected President of the Media Forum for Global Health, a non profit organization which promotes the use of television, cinema and new forms of visual media, to inform and educate the public around the world.
Teper graduated with a Doctor of
Pharmacy degree from Paris XI University and holds a Master of Business
Administration from INSEAD where he was the J. Salmon scholar.
