Northbank Communications Strengthens Team with
Four Promotions
London, Manchester, Munich
- 21 Nov 2007 Northbank Communications, the full service PR and marketing
consultancy focused on science-based companies, has announced four promotions.
Ben Routely moves up from Account Manager to Senior Account Manager. Katie
Odgaard moves up from Senior Account Executive to Junior Account Manager. Dr
Robert Mayer and Holly Griffiths move up from Account Executive to Senior
Account Executive.
Ben joined the Northbank team in September 2005 as Senior Account Executive.
Prior to joining Northbank, Ben worked as a Research Associate at the University
of Manchester. During his employment Ben has built an impressive reputation by
delivering effective PR and marketing support to a broad range of clients
including Novozymes, PerkinElmer, Sosei, Sigma Aldridge and Upfront
Chromatography. In September 2007, he completed a CIM Professional Diploma in
Marketing, adding to his BSc in Genetics from the University of Liverpool and
MSc Bioinformatics from the University of Manchester.
Katie joined Northbank in October 2006 as Account Executive. She holds a BSc (Hons)
in Genetics from the University of Liverpool. Prior to joining Northbank, she
gained extensive experience working as a Patent Analyst for Thomson Scientific.
Since joining Northbank, Katie gained valuable global PR and marcomms
experience, working on a wide range of clients in the proteomics, genetics and
lab instrumentation and supplies markets. Over the past year, she has been
integral to providing GE Healthcare, Illumina, and Biacore with PR support, as
well as design and production of marketing materials for companies such as
Nautilus Biotech and InferMed.
Robert joined Northbank in October 2006 as Junior Account Executive. He has a
strong academic background, graduating with a PhD in Cell Biology and a Diploma
in Human Genetics from Ludwigs-Maximilians-University, Munich. A German native,
Robert is fluent in written and spoken English, and has a good knowledge of
Italian at a conversational level. Since joining Northbank, Robert has gained
extensive PR experience, working on all the accounts managed by the Munich
office. He provided media relations support for clients such as Affimed, Ergomed,
Ganymed and LifeCycle Pharma, as well as becoming involved in messaging and
positioning for ImVisioN, Direvo and Pantec BioSolutions.
Holly also joined Northbank in October 2006 as Junior Account Executive. She has
a First Class honours degree in Neuroscience and a Distinction in spoken German
from the University of Manchester. She also has international experience gained
in Austria’s Center for Brain Research. Since joining Northbank, Holly has
worked on a variety of UK and European accounts, gaining financial experience
from work on both Amsterdam Molecular Therapeutics’ (AMT) and Ablynx’s IPO and
corporate experience from work on accounts such as Oxford BioMedica. In
addition, Holly has been involved in copywriting, translation, design and
website projects for some clients.
