ORIDIS Biomed Licenses NIH's Proprietary Tissue
Micro-Array Technology
Graz (Austria), October 30, 2006 – ORIDIS Biomed, a biopharmaceutical
company announced today that it has entered into a license agreement
with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the worldwide
commercial use of NIH’s proprietary Tissue Micro-Array (TMA) technology.

technology”, said Georg Casari, PhD, Head of ORIDIS Biomed’s TISSOMICS™
business. “This license agreement further strengthens our TISSOMICS™
business for the life-science industry worldwide, where we offer our
clients the ability to validate their research, such as biomarker and
target verification programs.”
Tissue Micro-Arrays are a research tool, within ORIDIS Biomed’s
TISSOMICS™ platform, that permits the rapid and simultaneous study of
several hundred tissue samples, using standardized high-throughput
analysis by in-house pathologists.
