Fully enclosed
incubation chamber for the PerkinElmer UltraVIEW launched at Neuroscience 2006 |
13th October 2006: Solent Scientific, the world’s
leading suppliers of microscope incubation chambers, today announced the launch
at Neuroscience 2006 in Atlanta of a new fully enclosed incubation system for
the latest PerkinElmer UltraVIEW spinning disk Confocal Microscope. The new
system can incorporate all leading research microscope frames - the Leica DMI
6000, Nikon TE2000, Olympus IX2 and the Zeiss Axiovert 200 – and will be on
display at both Solent Scientific booth no 1330 and PerkinElmer booth no 1148.

Neuroscience researchers will be able to perform Fluorescence observations,
including FRAP, of live cells using the UltraVIEW PhotoKinesis accessory in
conjunction with the Solent Scientific chamber.
Orry Dugdale, CEO of Solent Scientific, is delighted with this latest product
with PerkinElmer: “We have already supplied significant numbers of chambers for
the rest of the UltraVIEW range. One of the key advantages has turned out to be
our fully enclosed design which maintains temperature above and below the
specimen. We expect considerable interest from neuroscientists.”
All Solent Scientific fully enclosed microscope incubation chambers are custom
manufactured to ISO standards from high quality impact-resistant acrylic and are
easy to clean and maintain.
