West Pharmaceutical Services' UK Manufacturing Facilities Win Prestigious Safety Award

January 2006 – West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. (NYSE:WST), today
announced that its production plants in the UK, St Austell and Bodmin, have
won the 2005 Annual Health and Safety Award from the British Rubber
Manufacturers Association (BRMA). This prestigious award is presented to
companies in the UK that have achieved the rubber industry’s best safety
record and are proactive in improving health and safety management. The BRMA
only considers companies for this award that show a commitment to safety
policy and produce evidence of improved health and safety practice throughout
the year.
