The Gene Forge consists of proprietary technologies which permit us to customize transcriptional and translational control regions, insert or remove protein trafficking sequences, add, remove or shuffle protein domains and insert or delete restriction sites, all in a single synthesis. We have developed specialized algorithms for calculating appropriate codon usage, and methods of considering isolates outside of the regional coding domains which directly affect expression. We utilize new treatments for RNA armor codons which block both translation and transcription. We look at ribosome binding sites, mRNA degradation sites, and we can reduce or eliminate secondary structure within the mRNA. Our treatment of tandem repeat codons (which can cause regional depletion of tRNA) is also unique. Finally, we adapt the customized gene to the host in which it is to be expressed. In short, we design and build your "perfect" gene, either for research or product development.
