BioFocus is a collaborative drug discovery company providing an integrated platform of expertise and technologies in medicinal chemistry and biological screening to the global biopharmaceutical industry. Designed to accelerate clients’ discovery programmes, BioFocus’ products and services are offered on a flexible basis and include diverse or targeted (SoftFocusTM) screening libraries, assay development, high-throughput screening, hit-to-lead optimisation and all associated informatics. Clients have access to propriety technologies such as Predictive Array DesignTM
(a patented library design methodology) and a range of proprietary screening platforms. The company has specialized expertise in Kinase, GPCR and ion-channel targets and offers or is developing opportunities for drug discovery partnerships in these areas. Current partners include Aventis Cropscience, Biovitrum, GlaxoSmithKline, Millennium, Oxford GlycoSciences, Pfizer, Roche and Teijin.
