Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc., with locations in Morgantown, W.Va., Caguas, Puerto Rico, and Greensboro, N.C., is a world leader in the research, development, production and marketing of generic pharmaceuticals. Mylan Technologies Inc., located in St. Albans and Swanton, Vt., is a leader in transdermal drug delivery technology and is the largest producer of generic and branded transdermal patches for the U.S. market. UDL Laboratories Inc., with locations in Rockford, Ill., and Sugar Land, Texas, is the top U.S.-supplier of unit dose pharmaceuticals to hospitals and other institutions. Mylan also owns a controlling interest in India-based Matrix Laboratories Limited, which provides Mylan with a platform for global expansion and growth. Matrix is the second largest supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sourcing and provides expanded marketing capabilities through Docpharma, a Matrix subsidiary that is a primary marketer of branded generics in Europe. Matrix is a public limited company listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India and currently owns, in whole or in part, 12 other facilities and business units located in India, China and South Africa.
