Paradigm Genetics Incorporated Company Profile

19:11 EDT 24th September 2017 | BioPortfolio

Paradigm Genetics is industrializing the process of gene function determination for four major sectors of the global economy: human health, nutrition, crop production, and industrial products. We believe that gene function rather than gene sequence will ultimately create a new paradigm in industrializing functional genomics. This belief is the key to our business, research, and patent strategy.

We are initially targeting Arabidopsis thalania, rice, and six filamentous fungi. These are all relevant to target organisms with commercial value, are efficient research tools, and are amenable to the collection of large numbers of measurements.

We use functional genomics and bioinformatics to determine gene function.

Our GeneFunction Factory™ is designed to be an integrated, rapid, industrial scale laboratory through which we can discover and modify genes, measure the consequences of the modifications, and reliably determine the function of those genes.

We have established a proprietary high-throughput bioinformatics system FunctionFinder™ that integrates gene discovery, gene function determination, and gene use identification. We believe that this system will become a definitive source for information on gene function determination
