European Biometrics Forum Company Profile
The European Biometrics Forum is an independent European organisation supported by the European Commission whose overall vision is to establish the European Union as the World Leader in Biometrics Excellence by addressing barriers to adoption and fragmentation in the marketplace. The forum also acts as the driving force for coordination, support and strengthening of the national bodies.The EBF's members base of over 100 includes the wider biometrics community including biometric companies, research agencies,policy makers and user groups. The EBF works as an information hub and network that facilitates the exchange of information between these entities.The Forum has a number of key objectives going forward with regards to its role and its audience.With regard to strengthening national biometrics bodies, the EBF sees its role as driving coordination and acting as the key interface between these national biometrics bodies and supporting them through promoting their work and increasing their competence etc.
