Lab Vision Corporation. Company Profile

18:52 EDT 18th May 2013 | BioPortfolio

L ab Vision was founded in 1994 as an employee-owned biotech manufacturing company and acquired by Sybron International in August 2000. (Sybron spun-off their laboratory products division as Apogent Technologies - NYSE: AOT - in December 2000). Located in Fremont, California (USA), Lab Vision is situated in the epicenter of high-tech and biotechnology. Lab Vision's focus combines state-of-the-art automation and reagents to meet customer needs. Lab Vision's acquisition of NEOMARKERS in 2002 strengthened an already strong partnership between the two companies to better meet the needs of customers. NEOMARKERS was established in the early nineties by Dr. Tandon after 20 years of research experience and more than ten years in academia. He spent many years researching breast cancer prognosis and published with important markers such as her-2/neu and Cathepsin D, which are used to help determine the clinical significance of specific proteins in tumors.
These combined capabilities have enhanced Lab Vision's ability to offer unrivaled instrumentation development, innovative histology reagent manufacturing, cutting-edge antibody product offerings, and customer/technical support that go the extra mile. Lab Vision and NEOMARKERS are both ISO 13485:1996 and ISO 9001:2000 certified companies.

Lab Vision understands the needs of researchers and clinicians alike and provides the following value to customers:

The patented* Lab Vision AutostainerTM has revolutionized automated Immunohistochemistry. Lab Vision's staff of engineers covers all relevant fields of expertise, including computer software. The Lab Vision AutostainerTM is controlled by a proprietary software program developed in-house by Lab Vision's experts. As a high quality, totally open system (allowing the user free choice of reagents), the Lab Vision AutostainerTM represents a customer-oriented concept for automation in Immunohistochemistry. (* Patent Nos. 5,839,091; 6,349,264; 6,735,531)

Lab Vision also manufactures UltraVision. UltraVision is synonymous with innovative Immunohistochemistry. These detection systems offer the latest technology and value in enzyme Immunohistochemistry. The UltraVision system combines the high sensitivity of biotin and enzyme-labeled streptavidin with affordability. Made from the highest quality immunological and biochemical components, UltraVision is ideal for routinely processed surgical specimens. The systems are quick and easy to use. The UltraVision detection system is a perfect compliment to NEOMARKERS antibodies and the Lab Vision AutostainerTM.

Link to Vast Scientific Network: Most NEOMARKERS products are already involved in major research studies, so working with NEOMARKERS reagents results in joining an entire network of experts in your area of interest.

Comprehensive Literature Support: All data sheets include species reactivity, applications, and a thorough research review with key references.

Array of Formats: NEOMARKERS monoclonal antibodies are provided in culture supernatant (0.1ml and 1.0ml) and ready-to-use formats (7.0ml) for histochemical assays, as well as affinity purified antibodies (20ug trial size, 100ug and 200ug) for biochemical applications.

Custom Preparations: NEOMARKERS reagents can also be obtained in custom configurations to fit your unique experimental designs. These include purified antibodies at a higher concentration (1mg/ml) and carrier protein-free and/or sodium azide-free formats. In addition, all antibodies are available in larger quantities for special research projects.
