Midwest Analytical provides N-terminal protein sequencing services to academic and industrial biomedical research laboratories. Protein sequencers from Applied Biosystems are used for the automated Edman degradation.Called sequences are emailed or faxed to the customer and original chromatograms of the phenylthiohydantoin (PTH) amino acids are mailed. Database searches using the BLAST programs of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) are emailed to the customer if requested. There is no additional charge for these searches. Recent completion time for one or two samples has been less than one week.
