The Oregon Osteoporosis Center was founded in 1980 and has two locations in Portland, Oregon, one in Vancouver, Washington, and one in Salem, Oregon. The Center provides a comprehensive program focusing on the evaluation and management of patients with osteoporosis, with four major components:A consultative clinic for the care of patients with or at risk for osteoporosis and other metabolic bone diseases
A referral bone density laboratory providing results and interpretations of excellent quality, reliability, and reproducability for referring physicians
A clinical research center evaluating new therapies and diagnostic tools for osteoporosis and other forms of metabolic bone disease
A provider of educational resources and activities for healthcare providers and patients in Oregon and across the country
