IE is an independent medical education and communications company dedicated to providing high quality educational programs. IE’s mission is to develop education that improves patient outcomes in combination with increased health care efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The majority of activities developed by IE are focused on the needs of the managed care and payer audiences. In 2011, IE received the Alliance for CME Award for Outstanding Collaboration. The award recognizes organizations that best demonstrate innovation or uniqueness in achieving effective CME/CE collaboration. The award recognized the successful partnership with collaborators, including the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), to implement a Performance Improvement (PI) CME initiative that has been acknowledged as a model activity.
