The National Botanic Garden of Wales is recognized as a center for integrated plant conservation at a local, national and international level; and has developed into an internationally renowned center for plant sciences and biodiversity research. Opened in 2000, the Garden maintains a collection of over 8,000 different plant varieties, spread across 560 acres of beautiful countryside located approximately one hour outside the capital city of Cardiff.
