BioPortfolio's Gene DatabaseBioPortfolio offers this free resource which provides an accessible single location containing current information and links to gene-specific content for a range of potential users who include:
Searching the Gene DatabaseSearching the gene database for genes relating to a particular disease allows users to identify very broad lists of genes associated with various conditions. For example a typical listing of genes associated with Breast Cancer would involve 10-20 genes, BioPortfolio lists 914. For Alzheimers disease, we list 128 genes whereas 1-5 would typically be discussed on other sites, this breadth of coverage is made possible as we search a database of notes on publications linking genes to gene function for references to diseases. From our lists of genes related to particular diseases we also link to our relevant InDepth content on related topics. On the subject of Anemia for example we have 131 genes and 36 InDepth pages containing detailed information on particular aspects of Anemia. Advertising / Sponsored contentBioPortfolio is happy to accept adverts on specific gene pages, groups of genes across the whole Gene Database. If your company has a catalogue of gene specific products and would like to see them promoted on the relevant gene pages contact Peter Barfoot at BioPortfolio to discuss the options available. Also see our marketing services pages for information on our other services including BioEmail and BioAddress which can also be targeted down to the gene/protein level. How is BioPortfolio's Gene Database being used - select below to evaluate the important topics and level of traffic:Genes by species:Browse Human Genes- alphabetically:
