Onchocerciasis

Onchocerciasis or river blindness is the world's second leading infectious cause of blindness. It is caused by Onchocerca volvulus, a Parasitic worm that can live for up to fifteen years in the human body. (From the Wikpedia article Onchocerciasis.)
