Rhabditida

Rhabdomyolysis is the rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue due to injury to muscle tissue, either mechanical , physical, chemical or biological. This leads to the release of the content of damaged muscle cells into the bloodstream and a risk of acute renal failure due to accumulation of these breakdown products , several of which are injurious to the kidney. Treatment is with intravenous fluids, and dialysis or hemofiltration if necessary. (From the Wikpedia article Rhabditida.)
