Add BioNews to your website using RSS JavaScript, a search box or
URL link
If you have a website, you can also incorporate our feeds and text links
into your website. Once you've pasted the code into your page, you
will need to do nothing to maintain the content. It will be automatically
updated with new headlines as they are published. BioPortfolio offer
the following three alternatives:
RSS Code: You can create your own bespoke news content for your
website. Copy and edit the code below by changing the search terms
after the q= . We recommend that you review the code below and the
examples - Prostate Cancer
or HIV/AIDS.
Insert the following code into your web page - you can use
different search terms after the q=
The output (see below) can be easily styled to match your site using CSS. It
should automatically adopt existing list and heading styles as it has its own
<div> with an id of "bioportfolio", any styling can
be applied by you or your web-team.
For the full benefits of placing a specific BioPortfolio news feed on
your site we recommend using a non-javascript method, this will help
ensure that the search engines are aware of the regularly updated
specific content on your site, and you get the benefit of web-users
searching for the subject of the latest news stories possibly being
directed to your site by the search engines. Many modern website
content management systems have built in mechanisms for consuming RSS
feeds.
Companies requiring custom news or other syndication feeds should contact
Peter Barfoot with their requirements - BioPortfolio will contact you and
provide a quotation.
We encourage the use of BioPortfolio News feeds as part of
your website design, however, we do require that the proper format and
attribution is used when BioPortfolio News content appears. The attribution text
should read "BioPortfolio News" or "bioportfolio.com" as appropriate. We
reserve the right to prevent the distribution of BioPortfolio News content and
BioPortfolio does not accept any liability for its feeds. Please see the
Terms and Conditions
for full details.
Search Box: Copy the code below into your HTML to add a BioNews
search box. To
view an example site go to www.ithaka.co.uk
Should look like this:
Create plain text links to new topics You can create
an infinite number of links to track breaking news eg your company
name, your products or competitor products, relevant techniques or research
areas. Edit the code below by replacing the
search term "alzheimer" before the -news.htm
The URL link will look like:
Alzheimer's News
Amgen News.htm
